Beginning in January (2025), I started writing and publishing a series of columns with The Baptist Paper—then posting them on this blog—about imagining what a national denomination would be like if the local denominational organization—rather than the regional or national organization—was in the lead role by the year 2033.

While I am using the Baptist association in the Southern Baptist tradition as the model, many of the principals and actions are relevant to a wide variety of denominations.
I wrote these columns with the idea of launching this new movement during 2025. Ultimately this multiple year movement could be launched during any given year. The final product of this series will be undated
